Feast of St. Michael, service honoring Memphis Police

10:30am

Saint John's offers a service in honor of Memphis Police. One of the most diverse institutions in our city, officers of the MPD operate in a very high stress environment for extended periods. We will honor that work and welcome them for fellowship and a meal.

All officers are invited to attend in uniform. A complimentary lunch will be offered in the Parish Life Center following the service. Police Director Rallings and Mayor Strickland are both planning to attend. If you have a friend or family member in service, please invite them to join you.

St. Clare Annual Silent Retreat @St. Columba

One weekend each year, just as the trees begin to turn from green to gold, we gather in a lovely lodge nestled in nature's sanctuary to more fully experience the blessings of silence. It is there in those sacred woods that silence invites us to be led deeper into the awareness of God's presence in our lives.

The leadership team is pleased to announce this year's retreat will be led by Connie Cruthirds at St. Columba in Bartlett on October 20-22. Connie Cruthirds is a writer, master certified life coach, and compassionate observer of self and others. Silence is her go to place to listen to and listen for what she believes is always there waiting to help us find our way through this wild world.
