Children's EducationPreschool Sunday School (Ages 3, 4 and 5)Room 108 (across from Bride’s Room, next to elevator) Sunday School (K-5th grade)Upstairs over the Parish Hall
Our Sunday school program is based on the Workshop Rotation Model. It follows a six year scope and sequence. Each year develops a theme of faith, each month building a foundation for the next. It progresses from Old Testament stories, bridged by Christmas, to New Testament stories, bridged by Easter, to the development of the Church. Each story is explored by different workshops led by talented members of the parish. Classes rotate through the workshops, participating in one workshop for a week. Each unit lasts for about a month.
Children's Chapel (Ages 3-8)Chapel upstairs over the Parish Hall
Children's Chapel is led by a member of the clergy on a rotating basis. The children follow the junior acolytes and a member of the clergy from the church during the sequence hymn. They proceed upstairs to the Children's Chapel space, where they participate in a children's liturgy and hear the Gospel story in an environment designed just for them. An offering is collected, which is later brought to the high altar along with the parish offering. The children's offering is earmarked for the Food Pantry at Saint Luke's Methodist Church. The children return to church during The Peace to rejoin their families.
WeeYC and PreYCWeeYC (ages 4yrs-3rd Grade)
PreYC (4th - 5th Grade)
These two groups meet for fun and fellowship, giving the children an opportunity to interact in a less-structured setting than Sunday School. Be sure to check the website and the green insert in the Sunday Service Leaflets for upcoming activities!
Where do YOU fit in?We are looking for the talent of the church to emerge to pass the faith onto the next generation.
