ChoirFest 2016 brought a full complement of students from across Memphis to Saint John's in November to participate in a day long clinic with guest conductor Marco Antonio Melendez of the Milwaukee Children's Choir. In the second year of this program, nearly 100 young Memphians brought their vitality, curiosity, and ability to our space.
On Friday November 6 over 70 elementary aged school children came to Saint John's Episcopal Church to learn, sing, meet new friends and experience new music. Dr. Glenda Crawford, the ChoirFest clinician, led the mass choir consisting of children from 12 Shelby County Elementary Schools. The initiative was led by the Memphis BoyChoir Inc. in a effort to connect with more students, teachers and families in Memphis. ChoirFest 2015 was a great success!
