Saint John's Church is searching for a new rector

Over a century old and located in the heart of Memphis, Saint John's has a congregation of about 880 baptized persons. We appreciate our rich history and life-long members and value the life and energy provided by the recent influx of young families. Saint John's is seeking a priest who is an inspiring, scripturally-based preacher and teacher who can motivate its members to more mature relationships with Christ.

Our mid-south community has a population of 650,000 within the City of Memphis and more than one million people in the metropolitian area. Saint John's is centrally located near where "Midtown" ends and where "East Memphis" begins. Its neighborhood, while largely residential, also encompasses the University of Memphis, nearby shopping centers, schools and museums.

Our parish is a community of Christians who desire is to bear witness to God's love and presence in the world.

More about our Parish ...

Saint John's congregation as a whole and its individual members take seriously our ministry as a parish family. Through our life together we are called to nurture each other and to reach out to the world. We are called to worship together weekly, and to work, pray, and give for the spread of the kingdom of God. Saint John's is part of The Diocese of West Tennessee and participates fully in diocesan affairs.
