Journey to Bethlehem
Enjoy this short hightlight of our Christmas offering to families of all ages and stages of life: A Journey to Bethlehem, which took place on December 23rd, 2021. Saint John's courtyard and campus was transformed into Bethlehem, inviting travelers to walk the steps of the holy family, shepherds, magi and prophets. We celebrate this new creative offering, the first of its kind by our family formation team. You may access the worship bulletin from Journey to Bethlehem here and read a reflection about Saint John's Children's & Family Ministry Advent experience here.
Godly Play is an imaginative method of presenting scripture stories to children. It serves as the curriculum of Saint John’s Children’s Ministry. The following content in “Journey to Bethlehem” is adapted from The Complete Guide to Godly Play, by Jerome W. Berryman. Godly Play is offered for Children’s Chapel during the 10:30am worship service each Sunday.

CHILDREN'S CHAPEL (AGES 3-10)
During the 10:30 service, children ages 3-10 follow an acolyte up to the 2nd floor above the Parish Hall after the Call to Children's Chapel. This unique small group worship time is led by our Director of Parish Family, Allison Pace and Children's MInistry Coordinator, Molly Graham. A rotating team of volunteer parents and grandparents supervises and helps guide the children safely to and from their families. The children participate in a lectionary-based worship designed just for them. Children rejoin their families during the Peace.
